In Art we had to do a Folk Art project. and instead of painting on some cupboard or wooden spoon i decided to paint on my mothers old jazz shoes from when she was in dance. On the side's of the shoes i put "Like Mother" and "Like Daughter" because she was in dance and now im a dancer and i put a butterfly symetrically in half on the front of each shoe just to show two pieces comming together, as in something me and my mom have in common. I really liked the sentimental idea of this project.

*PhoTo*

things we see may be different to other people living in different countries for this project we are trying to portray our lives to those whos lives are different. things we see every day like runners and snow could be totally different to someone who lives in Africa.

We are taking pictures of challenges and everyday things that other people in different countries might not have, the differences in family and community aswell this is quite a hard project but here are some of my pictures of community and everyday sightings.

Just For Fun!

The painting on the left i did entirley at home jsut for fun. I just got bored and have metallic paint at my house and a canvas so i went to work. i didnt really think it would turn out like this originally i wanted to make it all matallic jig saw like until i got lazy then i added the black i also wasnt going to put the white lines on until i tested it out and actually liked it. The piece on the right i did mostly at school it was meant for the art show we had on the 26th of february. I call it Amanda because it looks like my friend, she even has a nose ring! it was my first time using the gell medium as a gloss and i really like the effect i got.
